AHMS October Outreach

This October, our team was proud to be out in the community- connecting, caring and walking with purpose!

On October 1, Absolute Homecare and Medical Staffing kicked off the month by participating in Project Connect at the Centreville Fairgrounds. This free resource event brought together local agencies and service providers across St. Joseph County, bridging resources for families and veterans to health, housing, employment, and senior services.

Next, On October 7, the Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department hosted its annual Senior Expo at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center. Older adults, caregivers and veterans attended this one-stop resource fair to connect with valuable programs and services that make access easier and reduce barriers to care.

The month concluded with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 18 at Bronson Park, where Absolute Homecare joined community partners and supporters to walk for a cause close to many hearts. Hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association, the event raised nearly $65,000 for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

From resources tables to walking shoes, October reminded us that community care goes beyond the home- it’s about showing up, supporting one another, and walking together toward a healthier, more connected tomorrow.
