Absolute Homecare and Medical Staffing co-sponsored a Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, January 17th from noon-5:45pm at The Zhang Portage Senior Center.
The Red Cross declared an emergency shortage of platelets, as well as types O negative and B negative blood, adding severe winter weather and wildfires have forced thousands of blood donations to go uncollected.
Additionally, the NFL has partnered with the Red Cross to automatically enter all donors (now – January 26) for a chance to win a trip for two to Super Bowl in New Orleans in 2025.
